No Additional Hardware/No Costly Software

To implement the Exetel FAX via desktop service no up front expenditure is required. The service will run on any Windows or Macintosh computer and the simple software required is provided by Exetel at no charge.

Sending Faxes Via Employee's Desktops

Exetel provides the ability for any employee to send and receive fax messages from their computer in the same way that they would send an email.

Exetel provides a 'client' that sits on the individual user's desk top and when the user 'clicks on' the Send Fax icon it brings up a template that looks like the cover page of a fax. The user simply types in the fax number of the person they wish to send the fax to together with whatever 'front page' message they wish. They can then either use the 'attach' function to include already prepared documents or type in the information they want to include.

When they have finished preparing the fax the simply click on 'SUBMIT' and the fax is sent and stored in a file called Sent Faxes.

The return address/FAX number of the FAX is either a nominated central FAX machine or each individual employee can have their own FAX number.

Receiving Faxes Via Employees Desktops

If required, or desirable, any nominated employee can have their own FAX Number supplied by Exetel either singly or as a range. This allows any or all employees to receive faxes sent to them via their email inbox. The person sending the fax does nothing different (they are just sending the fax to a return FAX number) and the cost/inconvenience of having faxes sent to a central FAX facility is eliminated.

The FAX is received as a standard email and can be stored and/or printed exactly the same as an email. There is no charge for receiving faxes.

Bulk Sending of Faxes

If your company needs to send faxes in large or bulk quantities, Exetel can arrange a bulk upload facility.

This is a simple matter of loading the fax jobs onto a fax ‘platform’ via a secure members portal which we will create and provide access to.
