Exetel Regional TV Project
Purpose Of The Project
Exetel will "invest" well over $500,000 to promote the use of Wireless Broadband in regional and rural areas of Australia via authorised Exetel agents. This project will be based on tv advertising every second week for 5 consecutive months starting in late July.
The ad features a yagi antenna and is aimed at people who live but within 30 kms (line of sight) of an Optus mobile tower. Of course it can be bought by anyone who wishes to replace a dial up or satellite connection or has a need for mobile internet.
The ad will have a 1300 number to call for more details that will be answered in one of two ways:
- Our preferred way is have it answered by an Exetel agent either "live" or via an "answer phone" service (based on 'post code identification').
- If the agent doesn't answer the telephone after five rings then it will divert to Exetel's sales enquiry line where initial questions will be answered and then the name and telephone number will be sent to the agents email.
We highly recommend our agents implement VOIP to help service these calls.
The purpose of the project is to sell 100,000 Wireless Broadband services in 'country' Australia between July 2009 and December 2010.
Agent Materials
Exetel will design an information pamphlet with details of the plans and on the reverse side the details (for remote customers) of the Yagi, what it does and what is required to install it.
Exetel will provide the agent with access to some much more detailed on line tools to give the current and/or future status of signal capability in any geographic location on a day by day basis reflecting the real capacity of the tower/backhaul in any location to handle the number of users.
Exetel will assist the agent expand his 'territory' by offering a free internet café service to up to three internet cafes of the agents choice (the café owner must agree to providing access to pamphlets and prominently display a poster on one wall of the cafe.
Agent Commitment
To be part of this program you will need to order on consignment basis (which will be deducted from your commission), 3 Wireless Broadband modems and at least one antenna to provide "instant" fulfilment for any "walk in customer".
Agent Commissions
Exetel will pay a $25.00 once only sign up commission on each Wireless Broadband customer sale.
Exetel will pay a 10% commission on the customer's monthly billing for post paid accounts; not on prepaid accounts.
We would expect the agent to be able to sell both the Wireless Broadband modem and the antenna at a profit and also make money out of the installation charge of any antenna sold.
