- The WAN light on your Modem (the top light of three) must NOT be flashing

If these five conditions have been met you can proceed to Step 1.
What to do if you are NOT using Windows XP or Mac OS9 or OSX
Windows XP and Mac OS9 and OSX have a built in PPPoE client. If you are using an earlier version of Windows you will need to get, and install, some PPPoE software.
The Exetel forum has information and advice on PPPoE software for various operating systems, including Linux, here:
http://forum.exetel.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=1791
Once you have installed the PPPoE client of your choice, go directly to STEP 7 of these instructions and the Username and Password format there to configure your PPPoE client.
What to do if you are a Mac user
Mac OSX and OS9 have built in PPPoE Clients. Go directly to STEP 7 of these instructions and use the Username and Password format there to configure your PPPoE Client.
If you have an earlier Mac OS, or you don't know how to set up your PPPoE client, you will need to get help from your Apple dealer, Apple Support or your IT person. Exetel can not help you with your OS settings.

Where to Get More Help
First, double check that you have followed each of the steps correctly. We have extensively tested this setup process, and the only time it wont work is if there is some other problem with your PC or your ethernet connection, and you will need to fix these before your can connect.
Exetel can't help you fix problems with your PC. Your PC supplier or IT person is the right place to look for help with this.
