How long does it take for my service to be activated?
If there is a physical phone line connected to your office then the activation of a new Exetel service can take between 3 and 15 calendar days. However, if cabling work needs to occur or there are circumstances outside of our control then activation of your service may take longer.

Will there be any ADSL or phone downtime when I switch?
If you have an active phone line and are transferring your phone and/or ADSL service to Exetel then the transfer will occur without any downtime. You will however need to ensure that your modem is configured with the username and password supplied by Exetel to ensure a quick changeover.

I am with another provider but my phone is with Telstra, what service can I apply for?
You can apply for either a standalone ADSL service or an ADSL with Business Phone bundle with Exetel (subject to service qualification). If you choose to bring your phone line rental over to Exetel you will save on both your line rental cost and enjoy some of the cheapest local, national and international call rates available.

Will I need my phone service account number when I order?
Yes, you will need to obtain the account number from your current provider's monthly invoice before you submit your order to Exetel.

What happens to my phone and ADSL connection once my order is completed?
Once the phone number port-in process is completed by our network supplier Exetel will then begin the process of activating your new phone and ADSL service. Both services should be active on the day scheduled for activation.

I am moving to a new place and the phone line isn't active?
You can still make an application subject to service qualification. If you are relocating an existing Exetel ADSL bundle to a new premise, Exetel handles the complete process for you. An available copper phone service is required at your new premise for us to relocate your service. No further action is required by you, should we need any further information we will get in touch.

Does Exetel offer Naked ADSL2+ services?
No, the Exetel Business Bundle plan offers great value and one of the lowest phone line rental and call rates available today.

Are the setup charges any different if I'm transferring over to Exetel's Business ADSL Broadband Plans?
The Service Activation Charge for Exetel plans are standard whether you are transferring over the same network or porting from a different network. The only difference is for new installations, which require activating a bundled ADSL and Business Phone service from scratch.

Additional line connection charges may apply depending on the type of connection (or reconnection) and the type of work required to activate your new Business Bundle Service.

Charges are dependent on the type of work that needs to be done and will be decided by Exetel's network supplier and passed on to you at cost price (plus GST). Applicable charges are further explained in our order form.

I have a complex services on my line (such as faxstream-duet, line hunt, rotary function and or secondary numbers on the primary line) - can I still get an Exetel Business Service?
Yes, phone features that you have activated with Telstra, will be transerred over to Exetel and will billed accordingly. Applicable fees of these features are listed here

Can I transfer my existing Exetel residential service to a business plan if I have a valid ABN?
