Hosting Facilities
Exetel Provides A Totally Secure And Redundant Facility
Environment
Exetel's NSW Hosting PoP is located in a totally secure, first class, commercial data centre in the Sydney CBD. The facility exceeds Australian Standard AS 2834-1995 or a 'Class A' computer facility.
Redundancy
Exetel's PoP has been designed redundantly in a way that all services will continue to operate if any single component fails. In building the NSW PoP Exetel only used the very highest specifications of the equipment it installed from only the best manufacturers:
| Routers | - Cisco Systems Inc. |
| Switches | - Cisco Systems Inc. |
| Servers | - All hosting servers are high end Dells with mirrored SCSI Disk Arrays |
Internet Access and Bandwidth
The Exetel NSW PoP is connected to and from Exetel users via multiple redundant 10 Gigabit Ethernet links from Nextgen Networks, AAPT and Optus Wholesale and to and from other users, in Australia and anywhere else in the world, using bandwidth from, Verizon, NTT and Optus. Both the Customer Access and the Internet ingress/egress bandwidth are continually provisioned at levels well above the peak usage of all users at all times.
Service Availability
The Exetel hosting services have been designed to provide low cost hosting with high availability. The servers provide all of the features required for a professional small/medium business site.
Full hardware, software and data redundancy is maintained at all times as 'insurance' that in the worst possible case scenario means that services can be restored in the shortest time.
Exetel Provides A Painless And Fast Set Up Service
It takes only 48 hours to set up your web site with Exetel and all that is required is that you complete the online application form that can be found using the “Order Hosting Services” link in the menu bar on the left of this web page.
