For our customers, the best way to receive up to date notifications on any non-major planned or unplanned outages is via our Exetel mobile app. We will also notify you by SMS and/or email for unplanned outages.
Our supplier nbn is currently experiencing a Significant local outage.
The commercial power provider in the Eastern Eyre Peninsula area was experiencing significant power outages, resulting in disruptions on the nbn network.
The majority of nbn services impacted were due to commercial power outages affecting nbn network infrastructure.
As at 09:00 AEDT 04/02/2026, 90 end users are currently unable to access the nbn® network across the following technologies: Fibre to the Node (FTTN)

Commercial power has been restored; however, nbn services remain offline. Technicians will be dispatched to investigate further; and an ETA will be published when available.
An estimated time of restoration is not yet available.
The next update will be provided at around 15:10 AEDT on 04/02/2026 if there is no material change. If we become aware of a material change, we will provide an update as soon as practicable.
Our 4G supplier, Telstra is currently experiencing a significant local outage affecting services in COMET, CRINUM, EMERALD, GINDIE, GORDONSTONE, LILYVALE, THE GEMFIELDS, WYUNA 4352, 4702, 4720, 4723,QLD.
4G service outage due to site failure.
Approximately 1153 services may be impacted.
The estimated time of restoration is 01 Feb 2026 19:00 AEDT.
We will provide regular updates as more information becomes available.
Our mobile data and voice supplier, Optus, is currently experiencing a significant local outage affecting services in Central Queensland, Mackay - Isaac - Whitsunday and Queensland - Outback areas Queensland, QLD.
This outage is impacting more than 250+ services in the affected area. The root cause is still under investigation.
An estimated restoration time is not yet available. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
