For our customers, the best way to receive up to date notifications on any non-major planned or unplanned outages is via our Exetel mobile app. We will also notify you by SMS and/or email for unplanned outages.
Our supplier nbn is currently experiencing a Significant local outage.
A network outage is currently impacting multiple types of nbn services in Central North area.
The root cause of the outage is still under investigation. We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
The outage has so far affected around 1921 nbn services in the impacted geographical regions, across the following technologies: Fixed Wireless & Fibre to the Premise (FTTP).

Bangor, Beechford, Blackwall, Breadalbane, Bridgenorth, Deviot, Dilston, Evandale, Exeter, Glengarry, Gravelly Beach, Grindelwald, Hillwood, Holwell, Karoola, Kayena, Lalla, Lanena, Lebrina, Legana, Lilydale, Loira, Mount Direction, Newnham, North Lilydale, Notley Hills, Nunamara, Prospect, Relbia, Riverside, Rocherlea, Rosevale, Rosevears, Rowella, Sidmouth, St Leonards, Swan Bay, Trevallyn, Tunnel, Turners Marsh, Underwood, Unknown, Waverley, Western Junction, White Hills, Windermere, Winkleigh, Youngtown
Technicians are now on-site and are working to restore the affected nbn services as a priority.
An estimated time of restoration is not yet available.
The next update will be provided at around 01:15 on 01/02/2026 if there is no material change. If we become aware of a material change, we will provide an update as soon as practicable.
Our mobile data and voice supplier, Optus, is currently experiencing a significant local outage affecting services in Central Queensland, Mackay - Isaac - Whitsunday and Queensland - Outback areas Queensland, QLD.
This outage is impacting more than 250+ services in the affected area. The root cause is still under investigation.
An estimated restoration time is not yet available. We will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
