For our customers, the best way to receive up to date notifications on any non-major planned or unplanned outages is via our Exetel mobile app. We will also notify you by SMS and/or email for unplanned outages.
Our mobile data and voice supplier, Optus, is currently experiencing a significant local outage affecting services in in Katherine area Northern Territory.
This outage is impacting more than 250+ services in the affected area.
An estimated restoration time is yet to be determined.

Our supplier nbn is currently experiencing a Significant local outage.
Suspected vandalism to nbn® network infrastructure in the North Tropical Coast and Tablelands is preventing end customers accessing the nbn® network.
Vandalism has been identified as the cause of the outage.
As at 16:32 AEDT on 07/03/2026 The outage has so far affected 3214 nbn® services in the impacted geographical regions, across the following technologies: Fibre to the Node (FTTN), Fibre to the Basement (FTTB) and Fibre to the Premises (FTTP).
Locations Impacted
Regional Queensland: Bayview Heights, Earlville, Mooroobool and Woree.
Due to fatigue management, restoration has been paused to manage Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) risk.
An estimated time of restoration is not yet available.
The next update will be provided at around 13:15 AEDT on 08/03/2026 if there is no material change. If we become aware of a material change, we will provide an update as soon as practicable.
Our 4G supplier, Telstra, is currently experiencing a significant local outage affecting services in DUNDOWRAN, DUNDOWRAN BEACH, ELI WATERS, KAWUNGAN, NIKENBAH, PIALBA, POINT VERNON, TAKURA, URRAWEEN, WALLIGAN QLD, 4655.
The root cause is due to site failure.
Approximately 1064 services may be impacted. An estimated restoration time is not available.
