Well, aside from being a premium, super easy, and fast internet plan – when you Refer a Friend, you and your friend both get $1 off your monthly bill for as long as you both remain on the Exetel One Plan. So, if you’re the type who only buys clothes on sale, or can’t resist a lunch special, this is the deal for you.

How does it work?

If you’ve read between the lines and found the gamification of Refer a Friend, congratulations, you’ve won. For everyone else, let us break it down for you. If you have 80 friends all looking for a new internet service, you could hypothetically get your internet for free. That’s a pretty sweet deal if you’re streaming 4K content, gaming, or working from home. And even if you’re not, hello – bingeing reruns of your fave emotional support TV show for free.

Some things to know

Some ground rules: firstly, there is a limit. The maximum discount you can get is 100% off your bill, so if you have 100 friends (sure), you’re not getting $100 off your $80 service – you’re getting $80 off. Secondly, this fab offer is only valid as long as you both stay connected with Exetel on the One Plan. If any of your 100 friends (who even has that many?) drops off, you’ll lose that $1 discount for every friend that leaves the One Plan.

How do I get it?

Once you’ve got your One Plan, download the new and improved app. There, you’ll find the ‘Refer a Friend’ tab with your unique code. Copy it and send it to your mate. If they’re the sort of person who'd forget their head if it weren’t attached, gently or firmly remind them to enter the code at checkout when they sign up for their One Plan. All that’s left is to enjoy that sweet sweet discount.
