For our customers, the best way to receive up to date notifications on any non-major planned or unplanned outages is via our Exetel mobile app. We will also notify you by SMS and/or email for unplanned outages.
Our supplier nbn is currently experiencing a Significant local outage.
Severe weather has caused commercial power outages, which has impacted the nbn® network in the Gascoyne, WA region.
Remote troubleshooting indicates that affected sites are offline due to commercial power outages and depleted back-up power sources. Services are expected to automatically resume once commercial power is restored.
Outage Start Time is 27/03/2026 at 07:08 AEDT. The outage has so far affected 936 nbn® services in the impacted geographical regions, across the following technology: Fibre to the Node (FTTN).
Locations Impacted
Remote Western Australia : Bulgarra, Exmouth and Karratha.
Restoration of nbn® services continues to depend on the return of commercial power supply; nbn is closely monitoring power restoration and will dispatch technicians when nbn® services do not self-rectify following the restoration of commercial power.
An estimated time of restoration is not yet available.
The next update will be provided at around 18:15 AEDT on 29/03/2026 if there is no material change. If we become aware of a material change, we will provide an update as soon as practicable.
Our 4G supplier, Telstra is currently experiencing a significant local outage affecting services in TELFER in WA, 6762.
The root cause is site failure.
Approximately 444 services may be impacted. The estimated time of restoration will be 27 Mar 2026 13:00 AEDT.
